What is a 12V Lithium Battery?
A 12V lithium battery is a direct drop-in replacement for 12V lead-acid batteries, typically built from four LFP cells in series (4S LFP) or three NMC cells with a voltage management circuit. Compared to VRLA lead-acid equivalents, lithium 12V packs weigh 60 to 70% less, support partial charging without memory effect, and deliver 2,000 to 4,000 cycles versus 200 to 400 for lead-acid. The voltage compatibility with existing 12V chargers, inverters, and load equipment makes lithium 12V packs a practical upgrade that requires no system redesign.
